I travelled to Ios to visit a friend, the easiest way of doing this for me would be to travel from London to Mykonos spend a day or two there and then get the ferry over to Ios. While in Mykonos I really enjoyed walking the streets, seeing the beautiful shops and seeing the wind mills. I originally planned to stay in Ios for my whole trip but then decided to venture to a few of the other islands. I travelled to Sikinos on a day boat tour from Ios, which took us around the island to see the sights and finished off at a winery (you can find loads of different boat tours on the beaches of Ios, as well as other water sport activities). From Ios I finished my stay off in Santorini for a few days. While there I managed to fit in quad biking, visiting the red beach, sunbathing on the black beaches and eating lots of yummy greek food. I stayed in a hostel before flying home, I met some absolutely incredible people and people I consider friends for life.
- Things I would definitely recommend doing on these Greek Islands would be to try and hit all the touristy spots (I know that sounds very cliche but most of these spots are free to visit- like the windmills in Mykonos). As well as hiring out a quad bike for the day which we did in Santorini to visit the red beach (but you have to be a certain age to do this, so bare that in mind), boat trips to other islands or tours which are cheaper than you think and you'll have a guide which is really helpful. As well as water sports or there are lots of local beach events which are fun to attend.
